This movie is awesome and I love it so much.
I can't put my finger on why exactly (though I am always a fan of weird stuff so really not that unexpected). love a good subtle surrealism.
I feel like it's just such a realistic depiction of engineer-y types. I know these people (or have been them). I think it's the mixture of believable, dry "this is a camera placed at a convention" and surrealism that just makes it work. just enough to make it feel like a dream or memory.
feels very stuck in time (in a way that's stranger/spookier than just it being a period piece)
